We'd like to recognize the many friends who will continue to shape the future of cancer care long after they're gone. This society was formed to thank our special donors who have made conquering cancer a part of their own legacy.
The J.C.B. Grant Society is named after distinguished anatomy professor, Dr. J.C. Boileau Grant whose anatomy textbook (The Grant's Atlas of Anatomy) has been used to train thousands of medical students around the world for the better part of a century.
Dr. Grant’s widow, Anne Catriona Robertson left us a bequest of the Atlas. With the annual royalty payments we created the J.C.B. Grant Chair in Oncologic Pathology, which is committed to pushing pathology research forward.
The Grant family left a long-standing legacy that continues to improve our cutting-edge research capabilities and by planning a legacy gift, you can save lives too. Membership is currently offered to all donors who have included The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in their Will or through a future life income gift.
Please notify us about your gift so we can:
- Add your name to our legacy donor wall on the main floor of the Cancer Centre and in our online annual report
- Invite you and a guest to our annual luncheon and other special events
- Simply say “thank you”
