The Max Tanenbaum Healing Garden was established by the Tauba and Solomon Spiro Family Foundation in honour of Tauba’s father, Max Tanenbaum, a noted businessman and philanthropist who loved nature and the outdoors. Created as a year-round oasis for patients and visitors at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, the Max Tanenbaum Healing Garden is a creative way to honour those who have been affected by cancer.
The glass colours span the full spectrum of the rainbow – red, pink, orange, yellow, blue, and purple – with some blooms displaying a blend of multiple colours and tones.
How to Dedicate a Flower
With a gift of $1,000, you can dedicate a flower in the Max Tanenbaum Healing Garden to your family member, friend or loved one, in commemoration of their personal journey.
Every dedication helps us continue making advancements in patient care at The Princess Margaret and carry out our mission to Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime.
The Max Tanenbaum Healing Garden History
Designed by Janet Rosenberg and Studio, the Max Tanenbaum Healing Garden is a unique no-maintenance natural space on the 14th floor of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The design was inspired by the structure of French gardens; however, in place of live plants, decorative panels and artificial hedges encompass beautiful beds of hand-blown glass flowers.
