This elite society celebrates the many individuals, foundations, corporations and unions who have cumulatively donated $1 million dollars or more in support of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
The Till & McCulloch Society was founded in 2015 and named after Dr. James Till and Ernest McCulloch, who revolutionized cancer medicine by proving the existence of stem cells in 1961.
This seminal work led to many other game-changing advancements in cancer care, such as bone marrow transplantation and some of Canada's first clinical trial programs.
In 2020, Canada Post celebrated this ground-breaking achievement by issuing a series of commemorative stamps that salute these remarkable individuals and the many other health care professionals, scientists and technologists who have devoted their lives to creating a healthier world.
Much like these remarkable scientists, members of the Till & McCulloch Society have made significant advancements in cancer care through their contributions. Many of which have helped to solidify The Princess Margaret as one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
To honour this invaluable support, donors joining the Till & McCulloch Society are offered exclusive experiences that include being the first to receive important updates and information from the Cancer Centre and Foundation and receiving special recognition in our annual report and on a permanent donor recognition piece in the Cancer Centre.
You will also receive invitations to private events that will provide intimate access to our scientists and leaders, and will allow you to gain insight into how your generosity is making a difference at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
These are just a few of the ways we demonstrate our appreciation for your invaluable support of The Princess Margaret.
