“Every time someone purchases a lottery ticket, they are supporting life-saving research at one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world, including new ways to detect cancer earlier, often years before symptoms occur when many cancers are often curable. This is critical, as cancer is Canada’s leading cause of death, with 2 in 5 Canadians receiving a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Whether you play for the prizes or play for more tomorrows on behalf of cancer patients everywhere, you’re playing for a critical cause. Thank you on behalf of everyone at The Princess Margaret and on behalf of cancer patients across Canada and around the world who benefit from new standards in cancer care as a result of research conducted at The Princess Margaret” commented Dr. Miyo Yamashita, President and CEO, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
