Our Frontline Healthcare Workers Need Your Help

For over a year, our dedicated healthcare providers have been working tirelessly to care for cancer patients who are particularly vulnerable, especially those with compromised immune systems. They have endured long, stressful shifts with heightened protocols and increasing restrictions that have had a tremendous impact on frontline staff, our patients and their loved ones.

In appreciation of their selfless efforts, you can help provide exhausted frontline workers with much-needed support to help them weather this latest wave of COVID-19 infections. In May, all onsite frontline healthcare providers will:

  • Receive a $100 transportation credit to help cover costs of travelling to work (parking, cabs, transit)
  • Receive three weekly food vouchers
  • Have access to hotel rooms at The Royal York through the RestSafe program
Your donation will support frontline staff and let them know you are still with them during this crisis.

Our Researchers Urgently Need Support

The pandemic’s impact on the Canadian economy has also taken a heavy toll on available research funding from granting agencies for our doctors and scientists. Acutely aware that the ravages of cancer have not stopped during the pandemic, they have continued to push the envelope in developing new treatments for cancer patients.

But the pace of their discovery is now threatened by the slowdown in the funding pipeline. Many lives will be at stake if COVID-19 is allowed to hamper their research.

The Princess Margaret has all the right elements to generate tomorrow’s discoveries today – world-class researchers, a collaborative culture, a history of discovery to build on and the commitment to make it all happen. But if we don’t invest now, we risk setting back the pace of discovery by decades.

With your support, The Princess Margaret will prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from stalling advances in cancer research and our ability to improve outcomes for cancer patients close to home, across the country and around the world.
