When I first walked through the doors of The Princess Margaret, I remember first noticing the doves. I’ve always loved doves — it was comforting and encouraging to see these symbols of hope. It was this image of the dove that led me to believe everything was going to be okay.

Dalia Schaffer
Dalia was 20 years old when she found a lump in her breast. Just one week later, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Today, Dalia has completed her degree at McGill University and proudly joined The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation team.

Vinesha Ramasamy

At 19, Vinesha was already facing cancer for a second time. It had spread to her lungs, and she was given just six months to live. While her family prepared for the worst, The Princess Margaret team searched for solutions and with the help of an innovative clinical trial, Vinesha is now living life cancer free.

Geoff

At 33 years old, Geoff’s future was nothing but bright. His love of the outdoors drove his passion as a physical education teacher. His two young daughters kept Geoff and his wife Lindsay busy. He never imagined he would be diagnosed with mesothelioma, an aggressive type of cancer that had a grim prognosis. In a flash, Geoff’s life was turned upside down. With his growing family, Geoff knew he wanted the best treatment possible.
