Miyo Yamashita, President & Chief Executive Officer Dr. Yamashita has 20 years of inspiring and innovative leadership, having held senior roles in healthcare, banking and technology. Her recent roles include Director, Strategy & Operations for University of Toronto’s Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society, as well as Managing Partner, Talent & Workplace and Chief Transformation Officer at Deloitte Canada. In 2017, the Women’s Executive Network recognized her as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women.
Melanie Johnston, Chief Marketing Officer Melanie is a transformational marketing leader with senior level, integrated experience across a range of sectors, including financial, retail and not-for-profit. Prior to joining The Princess Margaret, she was Canadian CEO and Global Board Member of advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors. She has also been President of DDB Canada, and a senior marketer at TD Bank. She is a passionate believer in the Foundation’s mission to create a world free from the fear of cancer.
Angela L. Murphy, Chief Development Officer Angela works with leaders across The Princess Margaret to accelerate revenue growth and deepen engagement opportunities with a focus on inspiring transformational gifts that advance the ambitions of the Cancer Centre. She brings 19 years of expertise in philanthropic leadership, having led the largest campaign in Canadian healthcare, and a track record of inspiring donors by securing 9-figure gifts. Motivated by a personal connection, Angela is driven to help fuel world-leading cancer research.
Tim Rochon, Chief Business Officer Tim is a steadfast leader with a robust background in IT, strategy and analytics. He led the technology launch for JP Morgan Chase and Co. in Canada, Mexico and China before transforming the retail and pharmacy divisions of Shopper’s Drug Mart and Loblaw companies. Most recently, as Chief Technology Officer, Tim championed end-to-end technology insights that were foundational to the three-fold growth of 360insights.com
Steve Merker, VP, Corporate & Community Partnerships Steve Merker is the VP of Corporate and Community Partnerships and co-founder of both the Ride and Road Hockey events. As Canada’s single largest athletic fundraising event, the ‘Ride’ recently celebrated 15 years and over $250 million raised. Steve helps lead a diverse Peer-to-Peer portfolio including Ride, Road Hockey, Walk, Journey and several other fundraising programs. The success of these events is a direct result of the team’s hard work and dedication to the cause.
Ramona Oss, VP, Lottery Ramona started her Foundation journey in 2014 as the Director of the Ride event and in 2018 took on a new challenge with the Home Lottery program. Prior to making the move to not-for-profit, Ramona’s career has spanned across the retail, sales and licensing industries and has always had a focus on business development, relationship management and revenue growth. She served on the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto board and regularly volunteers within the community.
