Augusta Campoli
Augusta Campoli is raising money for cancer research at the ripe old age of 9!
On January 28, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation celebrated the many people who put on fundraising events or volunteer their time to ensure our many fundraisers are successful. Events range from bridge and golf tournaments to marathons to growing moustaches.
That evening, nine year old Augusta Campoli sang a song from a CD that she has recorded to raise money for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Augusta loves to sing and she does a lot of it—at nursing homes, with school choirs and numerous times at the Centre for the Performing Arts.
Her CD is called Voice of Reason, and the soundtrack includes Someone’s Watching Over Me, Thank you for the Music, and Mambo Italiano.
Augusta hopes to grow up in a world that conquers cancer, and the back of her CD cover reads:
“I would like to dedicate this CD to my late grandfather ‘GD’ who lost his battle to cancer in 2002. My thoughts and prayers extend to others and their loved ones who are fighting the same battle. The entire proceeds of this project will be donated to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in hopes of finding a cure.”
Thank you Augusta for sharing your gifts and for thinking about how to help others!
