On this Father’s Day, a cancer survivor and father celebrates the importance of family

This Sunday is Father’s Day and we’re celebrating our dads. The dads who support their children or loved ones through cancer treatments, the dads on a cancer journey of their own and the dads who are no longer with us.

Anthony Cella is a father of four. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma—a blood cancer related to lymphoma and leukemia—in 2013 and underwent 35 sessions of radiation.

The diagnosis and treatments were hard on both Cella and his wife of 21 years and their four children ages 13 to 19. Now, he tries to make the most of life and not get caught up in the little things.

Donate to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation today to help dads like Anthony Cella.
