The Princess Margaret launches campaign, You and Me, We’re in This Together for World Cancer Day

Toronto -   The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new campaign that showcases the relationships formed and the lives changed through the cancer Journey. The campaign, You and Me, We’re in this Together coincides with the lead up to World Cancer Day on February 4.
“More than 40% of Canadians will hear “You have cancer” in their lifetime. In the next 15 years, there will be a 40% increase of cancer cases in Canada. Cancer is a cause that touches everyone. At The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation we are raising funds to support discovery research and clinical innovations and sharing the results with the cancer community around the world,” says Paul Alofs, President & CEO of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
In our story series, brought to life through photography, readers will be introduced to five patients at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Including, Erik Couture, a young father from Timmins in northern Ontario. He relies on the support of staff at a daycare program called The Magic Castle, funded by The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, to keep his daughter busy while he receives treatment for sarcoma.

Also, music therapist, Sarah Rose Black, who uses her talents to help a patient battling a rare type of brain cancer.
