Supporting Breastober

is a new initiative at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation to promote awareness and fundraising for the Breast Cancer Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.  Breast cancer affects women and it affects men – but it most of all affects our families, our friends and our colleagues – every life matters.  One in 9 women in Canada will learn they have breast cancer in their lifetime.

The Breast Cancer Research Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre includes innovative and ground-breaking research such as the Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Program, the Breast Reconstruction Program, and the Survivorship Program. Additionally, we run nutritional seminars at our Ellicsr location.

There are several ways to support BREASTOBER throughout the month of October. Join us October 26 for An Awesome Evening in Support of “The Girls”; send an Honour Card; support Ribbon of Hope; wear a Pink Wig and share a photo on social media.

More and more, through early detection and intervention, women and men with breast cancer are living longer and healthier lives after diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Your support, in any way you feel comfortable getting involved, is meaningful and making a difference.
