An Army of Cancer Fundraisers and Supporters

Last weekend, I met up with Shannon Nixon right before we both had to go on stage in front of thousands of Riders, volunteers and supporters of the 7th annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.  Shannon is an oncology nurse at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, a multi-year Rider, and now a cancer survivor.

Passion to Ride

On June 7th and 8th, about 5,000 cancer warriors will slip on their bike helmet and ride their bicycles over 200 km from Toronto to Niagara Falls in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.  Most importantly, we hope over $19 million will be raised for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.  We don’t know exactly how much will be raised until 7:30 a.m...
