Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is a world leader in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.  Dr. Andrea Bezjak is the site leader for the centre’s lung cancer team, and she provides an update on her team’s lung cancer program at an annual luncheon held for financial advisors who provide guidance to their clients on philanthropic giving.

Dr. Bezjak provides leadership and oversight of the multi-disciplinary lung cancer program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.  Her area of specialty is radiation therapy, and she is an internationally recognized leader in the use of high precision stereotactic radiotherapy for non-small cell lung cancers in medically inoperable patients. 

She is also collaborating with other scientists at The Princess Margaret in assessing the effect of radiotherapy on normal tissues.
