Congratulations to Patricia Murphy-Kane, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Sandra Scott, Radiation Therapist, our 2015 recipients of The Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian Award!

The family of the late Gerald Kirsh established these awards as a tribute to the exceptional care they witnessed while he was undergoing treatment at The Princess Margaret.
Grateful patients and their families express their thanks to the many dedicated employees who are so vital to their care.  This is our 16th year celebrating all of our nominees at a special ceremony where patients, families, staff and the Kirsh family gather to recognize compassionate care at The Princess Margaret.

This year 18 nominees were honoured for demonstrating The Princess Margaret’s seven core values in an exceptional way: caring, excellence, teamwork, innovation, leadership, integrity and respect. Thank you to the many patients, families and staff who completed such thoughtful nominations making it very difficult for the selection committee to pick just two recipients.  Everyone makes a difference and these awards helps us to remember just that!

All staff members and volunteers at The Princess Margaret are eligible for nomination, including doctors, security guards, nurses and beyond. If you would like to learn more please contact KirshAwards@thepmcf.ca or visit  thepmcf.ca/kirshawards to access our online nomination form.
