Paying Tribute to Chad Cieslik

Chad Cieslik passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.  All the many staff he touched at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and the thousands he touched as he participated in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer now One Walk to Cancer Conquer, will remember him as a wonderful human being, a warrior for the cancer cause and a great friend to many.

Chad participated in more than 50 fundraising walk events right across the country. Over the past 14 years, Chad aka Papa B, has walked tens of thousands of kilometres across Canada, and together with his Butterfly of Hope teams raised over $2.6 million to fund research and patient support. Chad never complained, a survivor of his own cancer battle, his focus was always on others, doing more, being present!
Chad always loved his cold beer and welcomed a nice glass after his many walks.

Chad also participated in the inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer in Toronto and Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer.  Just this last year he showed up at Princess Margaret’s Ride To Conquer Cancer, One Walk to Conquer Cancer and Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer to support all participants and volunteers.
Chad had boundless energy and passion for the causes he cared about.

Chad has left us all too soon but his memory will live on with his many friends both here at The Princess Margaret and right across this country.

Rest in Peace, Chad.
