Promoting awareness and fundraising for the breast cancer program
at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre

(Toronto, Ontario) BREASTOBER is a new initiative at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation to promote awareness and fundraising for the Breast Cancer Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Breast cancer affects women and it affects men – but it most of all affects our families, our friends and our colleagues – every life matters.

One in 9 women in Canada will learn they have breast cancer in their lifetime. One in 9 will be treated at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The Breast Cancer Research Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre includes innovative and ground breaking research, the Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Program, the Breast Reconstruction Program and the Survivorship Program. Additionally, we run nutritional seminars at our Ellicsr location.

There are several ways to support BREASTOBER throughout the month of October. Join us October 26 for An Awesome Evening in Support of “The Girls” at Early Mercy on King Street. Our Goal is to raise $100,000 to purchase a complete system to finalize patient's breast reconstruction restoration. We currently do not have our own equipment and so we must borrow older equipment.  Throughout the month you can also support through these programs:

Breastober “In Honour” Tribute Card - Send a card to someone who is special to you.  Your donation will support the Breast Cancer Research and Breast Restoration Programs.

Ribbon of Hope - A heartfelt fundraising program where you can purchase a pink ribbon or wonderful jewelery all handmade with love.

Honour Someone Special - We have created a unique BREASTOBER cut out which is a fun and easy way to raise funds; show your colleagues and customers you are proud to support BREASTOBER

Wear a Pink Wig! Take a photo of yourself wearing a pink wig and share on your social networks with #breastober along with call to www.breastober.ca

More and more, through early detection and intervention, women and men with breast cancer are living longer and healthier lives after diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.  Your support, in any way you feel comfortable getting involved is meaningful and making a difference.  For more information on how to support all of the above, please visit www.breastober.ca and follow our social networks:
