Five Ways the Stars at TIFF are Like the Walkers at OneWalk

Saturday morning an army of cancer warriors will be raising millions of dollars to Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime at the Rexall OneWalk to Conquer Cancer. The beloved TIFF is also in full swing this weekend.  Here are the five ways the stars at TIFF are like the Walkers supporting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre:

1.            Both have incredible passion for the journey they are on.
2.            Both have personal stories which drive their persistence.
3.            Both want to have impact beyond their family and friends.
4.            Both want to inspire and engage.
5.            Both have made a long journey but are rewarded mightily by their commitment.

The stars on the red carpet this weekend will be walking a very short way, but the stars of the OneWalk will be walking 25 kms this weekend.  We welcome Mayor John Tory to our opening ceremony at Nathan Phillips Square at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and we welcome CTV’s Pauline Chan who will emcee our opening.  Most of all, we welcome thousands of Walkers and volunteers who support the incredible work of One of the World’s Top 5 Cancer Research Centres – The Princess Margaret.  Huge gratitude for all our Walkers, volunteers, sponsors and donors.  See you tomorrow to “walk the walk”.
