Every June for the past eight years, Pickle Barrel commits to support The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre by hosting their annual golf tournament – The Pickle Barrel Golf Tournament.

The event itself is a fun day filled with golf, Pickle Barrel BBQ lunch, dinner and a live and silent auction alongside fun activities throughout the day! For them, it’s a way to honour Andrew Valade – a young man and friend who unfortunately lost his battle to a rare form of brain cancer in 2008.

After eight years of support and commitment, the event has raised over $307,000 to support The Pencer Centre at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer centres in the world!

On behalf of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, we would like to give a big thank you to Peter (President of Pickle Barrel) and Kim Higley, Nancy Catenacci, Dan Valade and his family for their amazing support and helping us move closer to our vision – to conquer cancer in our lifetime! We are looking forward to next year’s fabulous event and are so thankful for The Pickle Barrel’s continuous support!
