On November 3rd, the atrium in the cancer centre was transformed into a live recording radio station. Throughout the day listeners were able to hear from patients, doctors and donors, all ready to share their stories.

With A1 Chinese Radio live on the air, we marked the fourth annual Chinese Radiothon in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

A big thank you to everyone – patients, families, staff, and supporters – who all had the courage to share their stories. Our control room was buzzing all day with phone calls and our amazing volunteers happily answered each call. Together, the Chinese community raised an outstanding total of $124,500!

Hearing the stories that fill the The Princess Margaret inspired people to donate. Listeners had the pleasure of hearing from Mr. Chaolun Yu, whose wife is a patient at Princess Margaret. He expressed his gratitude to the dedicated staff of the cancer centre.
