We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept donations via cheque, cash and securities.  

Make a gift now to The American Friends of UHN INC benefiting The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Donations of $15 or greater will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt. 

To have your name removed from our mailing list, please email us at list.removal@thepmcf.ca. Please include your first name, last name, address and email address to assist us in expediting your request.

Yes. Many donations are made in honour or in memory of friends and loved ones. When you make such a gift, a card will be sent to the individual that is being honoured or to their designated family member, to acknowledge your generous donation. Make a gift in memory or in honour of someone now.

No, we respect the privacy of all donors and keep this information confidential.

We encourage you to send an ecard if the card needs to arrive to the recipient within the week. Unfortunately, we do not have control over Canada Post’s sorting or delivery timelines. 

If you have made your donation online, your tax receipt will be emailed shortly after your donation. If you have mailed in your donation, please allow a couple of weeks for your donation to arrive and be processed. A tax receipt will be mailed shortly after.

Monthly donors are issued one consolidated tax receipt in January for their contributions made in the previous calendar year. 

 

To get a replacement tax receipt as quickly as possible, please include the following details: 

• First & last name  
• Address & postal code  
• Date & amount of the donation
• If you donated to an event, please indicate the event name

Prizes won in the lottery are not taxable. Therefore, a ticket purchase cannot be used as a tax deduction and we cannot issue tax receipts for ticket purchases.

Monthly giving is the easiest way to make a difference in the lives of those living with cancer. Monthly donations can be automatically withdrawn from your chequing or credit card account to support the research being done at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and develop the next generation of treatment.

No, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation does not have fundraisers in neighbourhoods going house-to-house to solicit donations. People are encouraged to contact local police or The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre if they are approached by someone at their door claiming to be from The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
